Lab Tests

Overview

• The “Lab Tests” tab enables users to book diagnostic laboratory tests (blood, urine, pathology, radiology, imaging) at partner labs or with home sample collection.
• It also offers packaged test bundles (full body, disease-specific, screening) and enables comparative pricing among labs.

Key Features / Functionality

1. Search & browse tests / packages
   • Users can search for individual tests (e.g. thyroid, lipid profile, vitamin D) or choose from test packages (e.g. “Full Body Health Checkup,” “Women Wellness,” “Liver & Kidney” packages).
   • Discounted / curated cards for “most booked health checkups.”
2. Home sample collection
   • The app arranges a phlebotomist to visit the user’s home to collect blood/urine samples.
   • Sample is then transported to accredited labs for testing.
3. Lab partners & accreditation
   • Tests are performed in accredited labs (NABL, ISO etc.) to ensure quality and reliability.
   • Users can often select the lab (if multiple labs available) based on proximity, pricing, or rating.
4. Compare pricing & time
   • Users can compare cost among test centers for the same test or package.
   • Expected turnaround time is displayed.
5. Interpretation & doctor verification
   • Test reports are reviewed or verified by doctors / pathologists before being released to the user.
   • Insights or flags may be added (e.g. if values are abnormal).
   • Some platforms offer doctor follow-up to review results and suggest next steps.
6. Integration with health records / consultations
   • Once tests are complete, reports are stored in the user’s profile and can be accessed any time.
   • Doctors in the “Consulting” tab can view these reports to make better-informed decisions.

• Comprehensive AI Health Screening (Women): includes blood, urine, imaging, AI-based cancer screening (e.g. mammography, colposcopy), tumor markers like CA125, etc.

Limitations & Considerations

• False positives / negatives: lab tests are not 100 % accurate and should always be correlated clinically.
• Pre-test requirements: fasting, maintaining certain diet, avoiding certain medicines, time of sample collection.
• Variance across labs: reference ranges may differ between labs/methods.
• Turnaround time delays, especially for specialized tests or during peak demand.
• Logistics: in remote areas, arranging home sampling or lab transport may be a challenge.
